“Harichand Sevasangha” Matua Socisty’s Organization at Southern Part of Kolkata, W.B., (at thakurpukur to Behala Area) has been working very popularly for long years. Late Dr. Sudhir Ranjan Bagchi of Palta under 24 Parganas (North) was the organizes to from above Organisation. That kind late Agnikumar Mistry was the president and Late Gopal Chandra BIswas was the Secretary of above Sangha. Monthly subscription was 50p only. Matua devotees are assemble at deferent houses on some occasions . Yearly function was celebrated at the residence of Late Gopal Ch. Biseas at Chongarmore, Kol-8.

First monthly sitting “ Harichand Sevasangha” was held on 22.11.1981 at the residence of Late Subhas Ch. Halder of West Barisha Govt. Colony THakurpukur (Wednesday). So many devotees such as sarba Late Agni kr. Mistry, Gopal Ch. Biswas, Neresh Ch. Das, Agit Kr. Mondal, Dhirendra Nath Roy, Bhabotosh Choudhury , Narendra Nath Pare, Nirodh Bihari Samadder, Nagendra Nath Halder, Ananta Kr. Mondal, Satya Thakur, Shamali BIswas, Subhas Ch. Halder and Sarbasri Pulin Bihari Mondal, Chitta Ranjan Biswas , Bhuban Mohon Mojumdar, Anil Sutar, Kshirod Bal, Ramesh Ch. Bhandari, Smt Issha Rani Mondal and so on were present in the meeting. A committee formed of which Late Agni Kr. Mistry President , Late Naresh Ch. Das and Late Gopal ch. Biswas Vice President, Pulin Bihari Mondal Secraty , Late Agit Kr. Mondal organising secretary (Dalapati) and others were members. Pranami were collected Rs. 153/-, expenses Rs. 91.25 and balance remained Rs. 61.75. Monthly subscription was Rs. 0.50 par member. Monthly festival of Harichad Sevsangha started these on at the first Wednesday of every Bengali month at the residence of different devotees. One meeting at the residence of Late Agni Kr. Mistry at Shibaji Kaloni, it was decided to purchase a Land in the name of the organization . Whose “Hari Mandir” will be constricted at its own place. For the purpose of the land it was visited the house of Late Manasha Bhattacharyya Kannya Nagar of Amtala , 24 Parganas (S) on 29.01.1982 and subsequently finalized to purchase the land. Late Ajit Kr. Mondal took the main role along with Sri Pulin Bihari Mondal , Late Khagendra Nath roy, Late Agni Kr. Mistry and others so many devotees of collection of fund , Registration etc. The land was very low filled with water hoglas etc. Kancha Hari Mandir was build with talley shed bamboo structure and fancying and brick spreaded “muddy” soil floor. First Function of Sevha sangha was held at the mondir on 19.6.1983 at Purbachal Thakurpukur . kol – 63. “Nabapolly East” .
Subcription collected Rs 24.00, essences Rs. 17.25 and balance remained (24 – 17.25 + 106.90 ) Rs. 113.65. There by the land was developed by volunteer labors of its members , followers ect. Late Adir Ranjan Sikder (Sadhu) was pujari of Harimandir since its inception till his death.

A free Primary School in the name of Sri Sri Harichanad Vidyashram on kuncha structure was started in year 1984 at the premises of Sebha Sangha. The School was run by the Ashram Committee . There after Harichand Matua Seva sangha was registered as trust on 27.05.1988. First 15 members of trust body was as under: 1. Agni Kr Mistry (President) 2. Late Gopal Ch, Biswas (Vice President) 3. Late Khagendra Nath Ray (Vice President) 4. Late Naresh cH Das (Vice President) 5. Sri Chitta Ranjan Biswas.(Secretary) 6. Smt. Usha Rani Mandal.(Treasurer) 7. Sri Pulin Bihari Mondal. 8. Late NIrode Behari Samaddar. 9. Sri Ramesh Ch. BHandari. 10. Sri Kshirod Prasad Bal. 11. Late Sanatan Sarkar. 12. Late Amal Baral. 13. Sri Nirmal Krisna Thakur. 14. Monindra Nath Ray. 15. Late BHabotosh Chowdhury.
The land was registered in the name of “Harichand Matua Seva sangha” on 04.09.1985 and 11.12.1985 when Sri Pulin Bihari Mondal was Secretary.

The pucca Mandir building was constructed in the year 2000 to 2001. Sri Sudhir Ranjan Mondal (dalpati) , Sri Chitta Ranjan Biswas (Sectary), Sri Kshirod Prassad Bal, Late Narendra Nath Pare, Sri Pulin Bihari Mondal aling with other members helped. For construction works, Sri Nirmal Ch. BIswas Advocate Assisted for mosaic flooring of Mondir.

Through continuous efforts and persuasions by Sri Karunamoy Halder the then School Sectary , Late Sanatan Sarkar and others school grant was 1st sanctioned by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Govt. of India, New Delhi in the year 2001, for 100 SC Students and for staff members. Plan of the school bulding was also sanctioned by the KMC on 74.4.2007 after several follow up and persuations on its own 18 kathas of land. Sri Pulin Bihari Mondal with help of others members started ground label work of school building. For want of fund progress of work was stopped for few years. Again in the year 2009 fresh attempt were taken by the trust body where Sri Remash Ch. Bhandari and Sri Kshirod Bal were joint conveners of construction committee . They along with other members took the initiative from door to door collection as well as sanction of Govt. help / donations.
The then Hon’ble MP Smt. Mamata BAnerjee and Hon’ble MLA Sri Shovon Chatterjee forwarded with the sanction of MP fund and MLA fund respectively . So many local people donated generously and to storied school building was constructed in the year 2010 .
A Primary School from class I to class IV free in all respects is being run by the Trust where Mid day Meal, School dress, Books & stationeries, Medical Check-up etc for the students are provided. The School has 5nos. well trained and high qualified teachers and 5nos. non-teaching staff including one part time MBBS Doctor. The organization also maintains another school in Nursery Section where 3Nos. teachers and one non-teaching staff are taking care of the children very affectingly.

Sri Sri Harichand Mandir was renovated with white marbles in the year 2014 with the main initiative of Sri Nirmal Ch. Biswas, Advocate , along with trust members, and so many members followers of Sevasharam . Daily Puja of Hariguruchand Mandir are taken care of very humbly and respectfully. Monthly function of mandir convenes on 1st Sunday of every Bengali Month in the evening where so many followers members participate in the prayer / puja and enjoy each other. Prasadoms are served there after. Smt. Usha Rani Mondal a sneer trust member took after the functioning of Hari mandir and functioning of other festivals / occasions along with others. A memorable annual function is celebrated on 1st Friday Saturday and Sunday of March every year. Every year a new Ishwar Committee / sub Committee under trust look after the function smooth functioning the programme. 1000 of people attend there and so programmers are taken and Prasadams are distributed everyday. Sri Chitta Ranjan Biswas present general sectary is taken care of Life Membership collection and functioning of trust body as whole supervision .

Donors of Sevashram can avail reduction of income tax as par 80G facility of IT. Act . It has also FCRA Registration. So many social works are performed such as blood donation camp, Medical check up for the public , Health in natural calamities hospos distribution to the poor and other helps social causes to the have not as is needed. All the above works are performed from collection of public and members. Hence any donation from Home and Abroad will be highly appreciated and accepted.

First President and sectary ware Late Agni Kr. Mistry amd Late Gopal Ch. Biswas respectably, after sad demise of Late A.K. Mistry, Late Khagandra Nath Ray became president. After Late G.C.Biswas , Sri Pulin Bihari Maldal became sectary upto 1985. Then Sri Chitta Ranjan Biswas became sectary up to 1993. After death of Late K.M.Ray, Late Adhir Ranjan Bal became president and after his death Sri Manmatha Ranjan Das is the present president. From 1994 to 1997 Late Sanatan Sarkar became sectary. From 1997 to 2001 Sri C. R. Biswas was the secrtary. Again from 2002 to 2009 Late Sanatan Sarkar became sectary. From 2009 to 2012 Sri C. R. Biswas became general sectary and from 2013 to 2016 Sri R.C.Bhandari general sectary. Again from 2017 Sri C. R. Biswas is the present general sectary. Sri Ramkrisna Mallik was school sectary from 2010 to march 2018, after that present sectary is Sri Dilip Kr. Halder. Most of the years treasurer was Smt. Usha Rani Mondal. Sri Sankar Sikdar is treasurer at present.
